A Short Weekend Recap With Birthday Pics

I think I'll fill this post up with pictures because I did absolutely nothing interesting this weekend. Friday, we grabbed a pizza after work and just flipped channels on the tv. Saturday, Billy picked up Krispy Kreme and then I basically followed him around while he did car stuff. I planned on going on a date, but we ate leftover pizza really late and weren't hungry, so there went that idea. We ended up doing grocery shopping at 9 that night. I was a little irritated that the rest of the city was doing the same. I may not have a life, but doesn't anyone else? Go do something, instead of making all the lines long at Walmart! We watched Flash of Genius that night (Greg Kinnear invented intermittent windshield wipers and sued Ford).

Sunday, we had Dixie Cafe for dinner. I always have to ask what the vegetable of the day is, because if it is sweet potato casserole then I know what I'm having for dessert. I smear butter on top and sprinkle with sugar, and when the top half is gone, repeat. Yum. After Desperate Housewives, we watched The Happening. I wanted to like it since my boyfriend Marky Mark is in it, but it wasn't really happening for me. Ha, ha! See what I did there?! You know, I've had to learn to be ok with Billy falling asleep during movies. At first it was annoying, and now instead of asking him if he's ready to watch a movie, I just ask him if he's ready to go to sleep.

So it was the usual weekend - stuff myself full of food and watch movies. Hope everyone else's weekend was a little more exciting!

Sometimes those channel surfing nights of doing absolutely nothing are the best!

I love that purple polish... I think that's exactly what I'm missing in my life.

Wish I had a laid back weekend. Mine was filled with four baseball games in two days. Our team won all four so I guess it was okay.

My weekend was full of running errands--I'm hoping that this weekend will be more lounging and less gettting stuff done!

Happy birthday - cute pics! We didn't do much this weekend either. I wanted to go to Home Depot - but we didn't even make it there.

I saw that Happening movie and thought it was a little strange. Not quite what I had in mind.

Thanks for coming over to say hi. I am excited to get to know you!

"I may not have a life, but doesn't anyone else? Go do something, instead of making all the lines long at Walmart!"...this was the funniest line I read on blogger for a long time...and believe me sometimes I feel EXACTLY THE SAME! Happy Birthday dear and thanks for making me smile :-)

Sounds like an exciting weekend!!

Your post made me laugh! I can totally relate to the husband sleeping during the movie deal. EVERY TIME! Only I haven't gotten to the point where I'm okay with it...I still kick him and say - "wake up and watch this with me!"
