It's Food Friday!
Hmmm, what should I do with that one lonely can of beer in the fridge? Make beer bread, of course! I can't even tell you how impressed I am with myself whenever I make this. I always think of bread making as difficult - kneading, pounding down with fists, covered in a corner to rise. This is the easiest bread recipe ever, and I love it.
3 cups self rising flour
3 tbs sugar
1 12 oz can of beer (I think the light taste better)
Mix all ingredients together. Pour into a greased loaf pan (or you could use a casserole dish, and I just used some cooking spray). Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Pour melted butter over the top. I melted a stick of butter but didn't use all of it (I did use it after the bread was done, though, on the slices). Bake until golden brown - about 10 or 15 minutes.
Enjoy!

Just stopping by to say hi :-) Thanks for the recipe...I learning to bake brad so it's really helpful, and it's look delicious too :-) I have to try it. Have a great weekend dear. Love: Evi
Stopping by from SITS to say hi! I have made this bread before. Because it's so dense, it gores really well with chili or other "heavy" soups. Yum!
Popping in from SITS to say hi. I love your blog header. So cute!
Check out my spring giveaway.

Awesome Recipe!
and I love the colors on your blog!
I've never made my own bread, either, this looks pretty easy!
Looks easy and delicious.
Thanks for visiting my blog!
That bread looks delicious. Coincidentally, just yesterday I made a chocolate cake with Guinness and it was delicious. Who knew that beer was so great in baked goods?
That's it? Just 3 ingredients? That's crazy! I gotta try it!
Coming from SITS - I love beer bread!! Didn't have recipe though - and that's an easy one!!
Oh, holy cow that is easy!!! I think even I could do it. Bread and anything involving yeast has always been very scary to me. I just found out that irish soad doesn't require yeast either. Yay, we're gonna be eating fresh bread this week!
