I thought this past weekend would be tough, and it was. Friday night was fun though. Billy and I got dressed up and went to a Top of the Rock function. A friend/coworker is a member of the Arkansas chapter of Sweet Adelines, which is a womens barbershop harmony chorus. Billy actually worked with them over 15 years ago, setting up risers for their rehearsals and shows. So, he enjoyed seeing all the ladies again. And the stories he tells! Anyway, there was food, drinks, auctions, and of course, singing.
I made it to bed at 11, which meant I was able to get 4 hours of sleep. I had to be at work at 4 in the morning BOTH Saturday and Sunday. After work Saturday, I bought myself an early Christmas present -
I know it's a little weird to be this excited about a can crusher, but I can't help it!
I was sooo tired Saturday afternoon so I took a nap. A long one. Three hours. Which meant I couldn't go to sleep that night. I think I managed to sleep 2 hours before my alarm went off. Surprisingly, I functioned pretty well at work and wasn't that tired afterward. I finished off my Christmas shopping (yay!) and bagged everything up. I'm totally not a wrapper. Wish I was, I like wrapped gifts, and think they're so much prettier under the tree. But I really don't like wrapping.
And that's about it. Ate a lot of fast food. My plan is to eat anything and everything before my diet on January 2nd. I can't start on the 1st - it's a holiday!
Highpoint - can crusher!
Low - no sleep
How about you? What was your high and low?

High Point - Watching a fire engine decorated in Christmas lights drive around our neighborhood with Santa on top.
Low - Feeling a little lonely (sans partner)but I have wonderful friends and family.
I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas
a can crusher?? aww that is so cute! :)
I really don't like wrapping either. I could possibly be one of the worst gift wrappers ever.
Oh My you are a super woman to survive on such little sleep! I would definitely be a zombie. And the can crusher should be installed in every modern kitchen. AT the current time I twist cans to crush them with my hands and it's just a little dangerous.. Thanks for checking me out! Merry Xmas!
I so agree start on the 2nd! What a great idea I think I'm going to do the same.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog ;).
