Weekend Recap

Is everyone recovering from Super Bowl parties? I'm pretty sure I ate the entire time I was at my sister's house. We had a bunch of appetizers set out on the bar and every couple of hours something new was made, so I didn't bother trying to get a nice picture of the whole thing. We had boneless chicken wings, smothered fries, taquitos, spinach cheese dip, french onion dip, fruit dip with apples and strawberries, and a delicious chocolate trifle. I did get a pic of the fruit dip and I'll post that soon, maybe for Food Friday. I should be able to not eat anything else this week and still feel full. I guess I watched the game a little, but I was mostly playing with the boys. Look what I brought them -

It's a gigantic refrigerator box! And now it's in my sister's living room! They had a nice little set up going on in there - eating ramen noodles while watching movies on a portable dvd player.

This past Saturday was Billy's 39th birthday. I made a couple of lemon pies that really didn't photograph well at all. He was wanting a really good burger for his birthday dinner, so we went to The Hop, a dairy bar kind of place. Nothing beats a dairy bar burger. And you can get gigantic milkshakes and malts there.

Anyone else lucky enough to have a dairy bar near you? What's your favorite burger place?

We had an awesome dairy bar when we lived in Benton (AR) but haven't found one as good as that one:(

I love the refrigerator box! Our kids love things like that! We got some new dining room chairs last year and they came in huge boxes-they decorated them and we cut out doors and windows. It kept them entertained for days!

You are making me hungry!!

no dairy bar, we have plenty of other fast food joints! The box is funny!

My favorite burger place has to be Fuddrucker's. I would have loved to have been at your super bowl party with all of that yummy food. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Never heard of Dairy Bar! Sounds yummy though!

My favorite burger is at the Training Table Blue Bacon Cheeseburger.

YUM!

That's a good idea, maybe this year I will just get my nephews a big box! Hell of a lot cheaper and looks like they love it!
