I thought this quote was quite fitting for the new year. I tore it out of an Oprah magazine years and years ago, maybe 2000 or 2001. I guess it really meant something to me. Comforting. Hopeful. Thank goodness I've had more than one chance.

Since I've gone back to college, I look at my less than perfect grades and all the young, smart kids around me and wonder if I already had my chance 20 years ago...
I need Anne Tyler's optimism.
