My Favorite Rings

In the past, I've posted pictures on the left of a couple rings I like - one from Tiffany's and the other is the stackable birthstone rings. I'm not too much into rings and I only have four of them, but here they are -

The one in front is my birthstone and I wear it all the time. I got it on sale from Sears, I'm thinking about $100. I had to be talked into getting it because I'm not used to spending that much money on myself. I'm very much a 'wait until Christmas/birthday' kind of girl. But I feel kind of proud when I look at it because I bought it for myself with my own money. I've had it for a couple years now, so it's a bit cloudy now. But it's still really pretty and I like it.

The one on the left I will wear on my thumb every once in a while. It was either 25 or 50 cents, I'm not sure which since it was a surprise. It was from a gumball machine. If any guys read this - get your girl a gumball machine ring. I think it's sweet.

The one in back, in the middle, came from one of those little shops like Claires. It was about $3 and I got it because I was needing a black ring to go with a dress. I still like it and I do wear it occasionally.

But my favorite ring is the one on the right. I've had it about 10 years now, it came from Dillard's, and I'm thinking it was around $30. I wear it on my right hand, middle finger. I know it doesn't look like anything special, but for some reason, I love this ring and I wear it all time.

Anyone else have a favorite ring? Besides engagement/wedding ring, of course!

Rain Boots

It was such a nice day yesterday that I almost forgot how much it rained last week - all during my vacation. There were a couple nice days and I got the chance to go on a boat ride one day, and swim at the lake the next. So I really can't complain. Especially since it got me thinking about cute rain boots again. A couple months ago, I posted a pic of Juicy Couture rain boots that I really like. And because I like Coach so much, I actually have pictures of 2 different pairs of Coach rain boots saved on my computer. But when it comes down to it, I just don't know if I could spend that much money ($108 - $128) on boots only to have them get wet and muddy. Ok, yes, I know that's what they're made for, but still...nope, well maybe, I don't know.

I do know that I wouldn't hesitate in wearing any of the rain boots on Target.com. The prices are much more affordable ($13.99 - $29.99) and they are all really cute. They even have wedges! My favorite right now - Hearts and Skulls, $24.99:

Does anyone have cute rain boots? Tell me about them! (Also, I must confess, I still really really like the Juicy pair!)

My Favorite Baby Items

Angie's on vacation this week so I (Ali the Lazy Dog ) will be guest posting today. No, she didn't go to the beach or camping in the mountains, she's staying with me for the week. I've already stuffed her full of some of my favorite foods: sodium benzoate, phosphoric acid, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, and don't forget mono- AND diglycerides. Since she's unable to get up off the couch right now, I'm blogging about 5 of my favorite baby items.
  1. Boppy. I didn't have one of these with Big pup but I wish I had. It made nursing Little pup so much easier.
  2. Sleep-n-Plays. There's nothing cuter than a baby in footie pajamas. My boys lived in these when they were babies.
  3. Baby monitor. My bedroom is on the opposite end of the house from the other bedrooms, so a baby monitor is a must. I've been using the same Safety 1st (audio only) monitor for 6 years. I love it.
  4. Baby swing. If your baby likes to swing then you've got it made. Little pup hated it but Big pup would fall asleep in it everytime.
  5. Baby Einstein videos. I know, I know. TV is not good for babies. But sometimes mommy needs a little bathroom break and these videos can help give you the time you need to...um...take care of business.

So those are a few of my baby 'must haves.' What about you? What are some of your favorite baby things?

Wet 'n' Wild

I really only use 3 different eyeshadows. One is a dark gray, one is a dark brown, and the other is Wet 'n' Wild Silk Finish Blush in All Over Shimmer ($2.99, Kmart). It's sold as a blush, but who doesn't use blush as eyeshadow? Actually, I do sometimes put a little on my cheeks, but I tone it down by putting my regular blush or bronzer over it. It's great by itself, especially with a red lip. And it works really well when you want to blend different colors.

I mentioned the Kmart price because I happened to stop by there yesterday. Billy and I went to Chili's for dessert - chocolate molten lava cake, yummmm. There's a Kmart across the street and he said if I would pull in there (he had seen a drum tshirt there the other day and decided to get it) he would buy me something. Yay! A present! I picked out OPI nail polish in Pinking of You. I really wanted to do my nails right then, but my toenails are blue - a surprise for my oldest nephew. He likes blue. And, also my feet. Anyway, I thought that might look a little silly, so it will have to wait.

But, back to Wet 'n' Wild All Over Shimmer - highly recommended, love it, go buy it. How about you - got a favorite eyeshadow? I need to expand beyond my normal 3, so I may give it a try.
