Fingers and Toes

Finally got some more wedding stuff out of the way today. License, rings, cake, centerpieces, and a few of the favors. I'm so ready to be done with this. That sounded kind of bad, but you know what I mean! It's fun and stressful at the same time. On to the pics!

My wedding ring. Love it. Mine's white gold. I'm actually wearing it as I type this. Maybe a channel set ring would look better, but I was really wanting diamonds set in prongs instead. So, I'm glad I got what I wanted! Looks absolutely lovely by itself.

Essie Marshmallow. I'll be wearing this on my fingers. I'm actually wearing it right now as you can see in the ring pic above. It's not a bright white at all, and I need something neutral because this is what's going on down below -

China Glaze Ruby Pumps. I'll be wearing this on my toes. Can you see the glitter? I think this is a pretty popular polish, but I have yet to try it. Think I'll do a manicure with this in a few days.

My Invitations

My dress may be BCBG, but my invitations -- Walmart. I happen to really like them, Billy on the other hand, thinks they're a bit cheesey. I just wanted people to have some pictures of us, that's all! The card looks better in real life. I think I just didn't take a very good picture of the front. The wording was what I wanted - just the facts, nothing frilly. I thought the price was good too - 25 for $38, and that included our address on the envelopes.

But, let's talk about the pictures! My sister did such a great job, it was hard narrowing it down to 4. She posted these on her site, but I'm going to add them here too.

My Dress!

I love it! And I'm excited that it's a BCBG! My mother came into town last Thursday and since I hadn't done any dress shopping yet and she was buying, we decided to stop in Dillard's and see if there was anything. There was! I didn't want her to spend that much, but I think she loves it just as much as me! I still need to decide on shoes, jewelry (if any), and how on earth I'm going to wear my hair. Less than 5 weeks to go!

Juicy!

Cute necklace? Maybe if the pic wasn't taken with a cellphone and it wasn't laying on a pillow with dog hair on it? Maybe? I'm not big on necklaces (I think I only have 3!), even though I want to be. I think they can really make an outfit sometimes. I don't remember where I got this one, but it's been a few years now. Once, I guess it was the first time I wore it (although probably not), the ex said, "What's that bleeping placard around your bleeping neck?" (Please insert curse words of your choice.) He meant no harm, that's just him being him, but it didn't stop me from getting mad about it, and maybe a little bit sad. But definitely mad. Nowadays, both Billy and I will say it on any given day, just out of the blue. Anyway, the point of this rambling story, is that that's the phrase that popped into my head when I saw this -

Juicy Couture. I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

This one's cuter, although it's hard to tell what it looks like. Logo dog tag with heart.

And, I just have to add something wedding related! Cute wedding cake charm! It's pink and green which I'm pretty sure are going to be my colors!

Before, during, and after.

Before. I obviously didn't know I would be posting this on the internet, otherwise I would have smiled or something. Although, aren't before pics supposed to be unflattering? Mission accomplished.





During.






After. I love it! I've always wanted lots of layers starting at the top, but for some reason no one would do it. It took telling her to blend in my bangs. Since my hair is naturally curly, I knew that short layers would add more curl to the top and wouldn't be weighed down. Hopefully, she will remember to cut it like this next time. I'm getting used to the shortness and I'm even considering a bob...someday!

27 Dresses

Well, not quite 27. I could probably post more pics, but I'll spare everyone and just post a few. I actually haven't tried on that many dresses yet. Kind of waiting for a few more pounds to drop, but eating better and exercising - not my favorite things.

I originally wanted something like this. Without the gold.

But I think I'm going for a halter dress now. This is actually a bridesmaid dress. So pretty. Wonder if I'd like the bow in real life?

Definitely more of a traditional wedding dress than the others, but HOT! I love it!

Narrowing Things Down

I'm so relieved that I'm now able to check the date and place off of my wedding list. I'm planning a June wedding at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs. I wanted something different and getting married in a haunted hotel is certainly different. I knew Billy would like the haunted part, but I love how beautiful everything is.

The Conservatory Room is where I'm having the reception. And you can see the gazebo where the ceremony will be. Lovely!
